Prerequisites

  • Admin access in Sookly.
  • Slack workspace authorization rights.
  • Target Slack channels for alerts.

Steps

  1. Open Settings → Integrations and choose Slack.
  2. Authorize the Sookly app in your Slack workspace.
  3. Map Sookly inboxes to Slack channels.
  4. Select notification event types and save.
  5. Trigger a test conversation and validate formatting and links.
  6. Reduce noisy events to keep signal quality high.

What success looks like

  • Slack notifications appear in the intended channels.
  • Team can jump directly to conversations from Slack.
  • Alert volume is actionable, not overwhelming.

Common issues and fixes

  • Issue: No notifications arrive after setup.

    Fix: Re-check OAuth authorization and event-channel mapping.

  • Issue: Too many low-value notifications.

    Fix: Limit event scope to high-priority conversation actions.
