Connect email channel

Connect your support mailbox so incoming emails are handled as Sookly conversations.

Prerequisites

  • Admin access in Sookly.
  • Access to mailbox/provider settings.
  • A target inbox for email conversations.

Steps

  1. Go to Settings → Channels → Email.
  2. Choose your connection method and authorize your email account.
  3. Set sender identity and map to your destination inbox.
  4. Configure SPF/DKIM/DMARC if your domain policy requires it.
  5. Send a test email from an external address.
  6. Confirm inbound message appears and outbound reply threads correctly.

What success looks like

  • Email messages appear in Sookly with correct routing.
  • Replies send from the expected support identity.
  • Conversation threading works as expected.

Common issues and fixes

  • Issue: Inbound email does not appear in Sookly.

    Fix: Review channel authorization and inbox binding, then test with a new message.

  • Issue: Replies are flagged as spam.

    Fix: Verify sender domain alignment and email authentication records.
